As human beings we make decisions. Every day. Every hour. Every minute. Always.
And that’s something, we can’t hide from. Everything we do – or don’t do – is the result of a choice.
Because we can always behave either like this … or differently. That’s the case for our conversations over dinner as well as for the tipping points in life that are perceived to be important. All of this, we may define as forks on our individual paths.
And sometimes, we just don’t get what we had wished for. Sometimes situations are just not nice at all, and life truly makes it hard on us.
And in such moments, making a decision is nothing but challenging. What now?
When we make decisions based on our objectively existing values, they turn out to be meaningful decisions. And making meaningful decisions is healthy from the point of psycho-hygiene. This means that making meaningful decisions actually strengthens our wellbeing in the long term.
If a person lets their own conscience have their say, they don’t have to worry as much about objective values.
They are just there.
We didn’t invent them.
We know them.
Many people wonder what meaning their life actually has.
We are convinced:
There is not THE one purpose in life.
As unique as we humans are, so are the respective opportunities to discover and realize meaning in one’s own life.
Values are opportunities to realize meaning in our life.
What initially seems large and abstract to many can also be seen in seemingly small moments in everyday life: the good weather after three days of rain as well as the rainy day after 14 days of drought, the children’s laughter in the morning or the nice conversation with a colleague during the lunch break , time for a conversation in the partnership. Meaning can be discovered in very different situations.
With the offers at the ‘Institute for value-oriented living’, we aim to accompany and support people in their individual decision-making processes.
We want to enable people to discover and consciously perceive moments of meaning in their lives again and again and more frequently.
Whether you want to look at recurring friction in dialogue with others, are looking for support in professional decisions, need support in dealing with strokes of fate or would like support in dealing with tensions in the relationship in a goal-oriented manner – we would be happy to support you on your very individual path.
